Starting December 1, Indians and Chinese can visit Malaysia for up to 30 days without a visa, aiming to boost tourism and strengthen ties. Malaysian PM Anwar Ibrahim shared the news, valid until December 31, 2024. Before COVID-19, Malaysia welcomed many Chinese and Indian tourists, but travel restrictions affected numbers.

Malaysia targets 15 million foreign tourists this year for post-pandemic recovery. Already offering visa-free entry to some West Asian countries, Malaysia hosts a large Indian community, with PM Ibrahim planning to visit India in early 2024.

To ensure safety, travelers undergo checks, denying entry for criminal records or terrorism concerns. Overall, the move intends to revive tourism and enhance relationships between these nations.
