In an effort to boost its tourism sector and spur economic growth, Vietnam is set to offer visa-free entry to Indian tourists. Vietnam’s Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism, Nguyen Van Jung, has proposed short-term visa waivers for key markets, including India and China, aiming to expedite the recovery of the country’s tourism industry, as reported by VnExpress.

This move follows similar steps taken by Sri Lanka and Thailand, both of which have recently introduced visa-free travel for Indian citizens. Sri Lanka’s tourism ministry is optimistic that this visa liberalization will contribute to a significant increase in tourist arrivals in the coming years, with hopes of reaching five million visitors.
