Vietnam’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bui Thanh Son, has disclosed ongoing discussions with multiple countries aimed at simplifying travel procedures through visa agreements.
Negotiations are currently underway with 15 nations for visa-free arrangements and with 80 countries for reciprocal visa exemptions applicable to holders of diplomatic passports.
Minister Thanh Son highlighted that Vietnam unilaterally grants visa exemptions to 13 countries. These nations include South Korea, Japan, Russia, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, France, Belarus, Germany, the United Kingdom, Spain, and Italy.
This initiative signifies Vietnam’s commitment to fostering international cooperation and enhancing travel convenience for citizens and diplomatic personnel alike.
