In the previous year, the US Embassy in India successfully processed 1.4 million visas, a remarkable surge. Bitter acknowledged that there is virtually no wait time in various visa categories, except for individuals embarking on their inaugural tourism visit to the United States. She disclosed that the wait time for this specific group has already been reduced by 75% in the past year, and ongoing efforts are in place to further alleviate this delay.
Highlighting the significance of the bilateral relationship between the two nations, Bitter stressed the importance of people-to-people connections, business travel, and family ties.
