US Increases Visa Fees for Non-Immigrant Category

Today, the US raised visa fees for non-immigrant categories, including significant hikes for H-1B, L-1, and EB-5 visas. The H-1B fee rose by 2050 percent, while L-1 and EB-5 fees also saw substantial increases.

These changes affect many Indians who use these visas to move to the US. It’s the first fee hike in this category since 2016. The new fees are:

  • H-1B: Old fee $10, New fee $215
  • L-1: Old fee $460, New fee $1385
  • EB-5: Old fee $3675, New fee $11,160

These visas serve different purposes, like allowing US companies to hire foreign specialists (H-1B), transferring international employees to US offices (L-1), and helping immigrant investors gain permanent residency (EB-5). These higher fees start today for applicants in these categories.
