A group of nearly 60 charities, law firms, and organizations plans to write to the UK home secretary. They want a special visa program, similar to one for Ukrainians, for Palestinians in Gaza who have family in the UK.
The letter, supported by groups like the Refugee Council and Care4Calais, says the current visa options are not good enough. They suggest a new visa plan to help families in Gaza be with their UK relatives.
The letter asks the Home Office to create this new visa quickly to protect families until it’s safe for them to return. Even though the Home Office hasn’t agreed yet, many groups and leaders, including Scotland’s first minister, want this new visa program to help families facing tough times.
