The UK government has just announced the opening of the second ballot for the Young Professional Scheme, specifically catering to Indian citizens between the ages of 18 and 30. The scheme, officially launched this year, presents an exciting opportunity for Indian graduates and postgraduates to live and work in the UK for up to two years.

The ballot commenced on Monday and will run until Thursday at 1.30 p.m., as declared by the British High Commission in a tweet. The program allows candidates to enter the UK at any time while their visa is valid and permits multiple entries and exits during their stay.

For this year’s India Young Professionals Scheme visa, approximately 3,000 spots are available. Although most of the places were allocated during the first ballot held in February, the remaining slots will now be offered through the July ballot.

Those who are successful in the ballot will be required to apply for their visa within a specified timeframe after receiving an invitation to apply. Typically, candidates are given around one month to complete their application.

Once their visa application is approved, successful candidates must make their way to the UK within six months from the date of applying for their visa.

It’s important to note the financial requirements for this opportunity. The application fee for the Young Professional Scheme is set at ยฃ259 (approximately Rs 27,000), and an additional healthcare surcharge of ยฃ940 (around Rs 98,000) is applicable. Candidates are also required to show evidence of having ยฃ2,530 (approximately Rs 2,60,000) in personal savings.

The scheme offers a fantastic chance for young Indian professionals to gain valuable international experience and contribute their skills in the United Kingdom. As the ballot draws to a close on Thursday, eligible candidates are encouraged to seize this chance and apply for the Young Professional Scheme for a potential journey to the UK!

Remember to keep an eye on the British High Commission’s announcements and official website for further details on the application process and deadlines. That’s it for now, stay tuned for more updates!
