Lucknow, the capital city of Uttar Pradesh, has recently introduced visa application services for travel to the Netherlands and Austria, providing great convenience to individuals from Lucknow and nearby regions. Previously, applicants had to travel to Delhi, which was the nearest VFS center, for visa submissions.
The new service operates from Monday to Friday between 9 am and 4 pm at the VFS center in Lucknow. To schedule an appointment, applicants must make prior bookings through the VFS Global website.
Prabuddha Sen, Chief Operating Officer for VFS Global South Asia, expressed his delight in bringing Austria and the Netherlands visa services to Lucknow, assuring applicants of a convenient and streamlined process.
Furthermore, the VFS center in Lucknow offers optional premium services, including a lounge facility, which allows applicants to submit their applications without waiting in queues. Additional services such as form-filling assistance, courier services, courier assurance, photo services, printing and photocopying, and SMS alerts are also available for an extra fee.
VFS Global, the agency responsible for visa facilitation, already offers Austria visa services in 15 cities and Netherlands visa services in nine cities across India. Alongside Austria and the Netherlands, the VFS center in Lucknow also provides visa facilities for Switzerland, Estonia, Japan, and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The Lucknow VFS center boasts an extensive area of 24,000 square feet and has the capacity to process around 1.2 lakh (120,000) applications per year. This new facility enables travelers from Lucknow and nearby areas to easily access visa services for their trips to the Netherlands and Austria, eliminating the need for distant travel to Delhi.
