An Indian man named Shabin Rasheed was arrested in the UAE for cheating 150 people out of their money. He promised to help them go on a pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, but he never did.

Rasheed collected a lot of money from people, but he didn’t help them get visas or book accommodations. He told people that there were last-minute changes, but he was just lying.

The police arrested Rasheed after many people complained that he didn’t refund their money. Rasheed said that he refunded some people, but he didn’t provide any evidence.

The situation is worse because Saudi Arabia stopped people from other countries from coming on pilgrimages in 2020 and 2021 because of the pandemic. This means that many people who paid Rasheed money will never be able to go on the pilgrimage.
