The IGI police in Delhi have taken into custody Nitin Nazara, a security guard employed at the Serbian embassy, along with his associate, Manjeet, following allegations of orchestrating a counterfeit visa operation. Nazara is suspected of exploiting his position within the embassy to manipulate the visa application system, producing fraudulent visas that were subsequently peddled to unsuspecting individuals planning to visit Serbia.

Manjeet is believed to have assisted Nazara in recruiting victims and collecting payments for these illegitimate visas. At present, it is known that a minimum of five individuals have fallen prey to their fraudulent scheme, resulting in a substantial financial gain for the duo.

The IGI police are actively delving into this case, striving to uncover additional victims and ascertain how Nazara and Manjeet managed to access the embassy’s visa application system. This incident underscores the paramount importance of utilizing official channels when applying for visas to foreign nations, as the use of counterfeit visas can lead to severe legal consequences.
