Siblings from Bhattiwala Kalan wanted to go to Canada. They gave Rs 24.6 lakh to two travel agents who promised to arrange Canadian work permits. But instead, the agents sent them to six other countries, starting with Dubai and then Azerbaijan, followed by Serbia, Austria, Italy, and Portugal. The police got involved, and now there’s a fraud investigation.
Sukhwinder Singh and his sister tried to settle in Canada. They contacted local agents Pushpinder Singh and Chamkaur Singh, who asked for Rs 41 lakh for Canadian work permits. But instead of sending them directly to Canada, the agents sent them to other countries, and they got into trouble. After coming back to India, they asked for their money back, but the agents refused. So Sukhwinder reported the issue to the police, and a case has been filed against the agents.
