Thailand’s program for Elite visas is making some big changes. Right now, if you have an Elite Easy Access visa, you can keep it at the same price with no annual fee if you apply before September 15. Current members can renew as usual too. The program wants to get 10,000 new members, especially from China, by September 30. But some people are worried because some Chinese people with bad backgrounds have used these visas.
The new visa packages will start in October, but you can still apply for the old ones at the current prices until September 15. There was some confusion about the deadline, but they’ve cleared that up now.
The Elite Easy Access visa, which gives you a five-year visa and special perks, is the most popular. There are also five other options with longer visas and special privileges. This program was first suggested 20 years ago and had some problems at the start. They want to get more members, especially from China. From October 1 to March 31, the program made 3.1 billion baht, and they want 10,000 new members by September 30.
