Starting November 10th, Indian and Taiwanese tourists will be able to enter Thailand without a visa for up to 30 days. The new policy, which will be in effect until May 10th, 2024, is aimed at boosting tourism in the country.

The Thai government hopes that the visa-free entry program will attract more visitors from India and Taiwan, which are two of the largest tourism markets in the world. In 2019, before the COVID-19 pandemic, over 11 million Chinese tourists visited Thailand, accounting for a significant portion of the record 39 million arrivals.

Thailand has already received over 22 million visitors this year, generating over $25 billion in revenue. However, the government is hoping to attract even more tourists in the coming months, especially during the peak tourist season.

The visa-free entry program is part of a wider effort by the Thai government to revive the tourism industry, which has been severely impacted by the pandemic. In September, Thailand waived visa requirements for Chinese tourists, and the government is considering similar measures for other countries.
