Thailand’s Prime Minister, Srettha Thavisin, wants Thai citizens to travel to the EU without visas. But he says it will take some time, and until then, people should stick to the usual visa process.

The Thai government, led by Prime Minister Thavisin, has been talking about this for a few months. While he’s discussed it with Schengen countries, he’s not sure when it will happen.

Despite the uncertainty, Prime Minister Thavisin promises that the government is trying hard to make it easier for Thai citizens to visit the Schengen Area without visas. He also plans to talk about it when he visits Germany and France.

Thailand has asked Germany for help in making a deal with the EU for visa-free travel. During a visit by Germany’s President to Thailand, Prime Minister Thavisin asked for support in letting Thai citizens enter the EU without visas. Thavisin reminded the German President that Thailand already allows citizens from Schengen countries to stay for up to 30 days without a visa.
