A young man from Kaithal, India, got scammed of Rs 6.55 lakh by two people promising him a study visa for Canada. The victim, Rohit, paid this hefty amount to pass the TOEFL paper, necessary for Canadian study visas.

The accused, Harpreet, convinced Rohit to visit his office in Kurukshetra, where he said paying Rs 2.30 lakh would ensure a smooth visa application. Trusting this promise, Rohit paid the money but later realized the TOEFL paper was fake, and Harpreet had disappeared.

Left in debt and with shattered dreams, Rohit filed a complaint with the police in Kaithal. A case has been registered against Harpreet and his accomplice, and the police are investigating to bring them to justice.

This incident reminds us to be cautious about visa scams and thoroughly check the credentials of anyone offering help with visa applications.
