Sri Lanka is thinking about letting Indians visit for a more extended time without a visa, even after March. Tourism Minister Harin Fernando says they value Indian visitors, and the plan is to make it easy for them to come and stay. Initially set from December 2023 to March, the visa-free entry wants to continue making it simple for Indians to visit Sri Lanka.

Fernando aims to make travel hassle-free, especially for those planning last-minute trips and finding visa applications a bother. By giving visa exemptions, Sri Lanka hopes to welcome more Indian visitors who might find visa processes a bit of a hassle.

Indonesia’s Deputy Minister of Marketing, Ni Made Ayu Marthini, shared similar thoughts, mentioning visa exemptions suspended due to the pandemic. She expressed plans to bring back visa exemptions, with India being a priority. India is an essential market for Bali, ranking as the second-largest source and holding the sixth position for overall tourists in Indonesia.
