South Korea Welcomes Chinese Tourists Back with Visa Waiver and Increased Flights
South Korea is set to waive visa fees for Chinese tourists until the year’s end while enhancing flight connectivity between the two nations. This move follows China’s recent decision to lift its ban on group tours to South Korea. In addition to visa fee exemptions, South Korea is also expanding tax-free shopping opportunities for Chinese tourists, raising the maximum purchase eligible for a tax refund from 500,000 KRW to 700,000 KRW. These initiatives are geared toward promoting tourism and strengthening economic cooperation between South Korea and China.
