South Africans can now apply for e-visas to Saudi Arabia, making it easier for them to visit the country for tourism, leisure, and Umrah purposes.
The e-visa is valid for one year and allows multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 90 days per visit. It costs 535 Saudi riyals (approximately 170 USD), including medical insurance.
To apply for an e-visa, South Africans will need to visit the Saudi Arabia e-Visa portal and provide their passport details, travel information, and a photo. The application process is straightforward and can be completed in a few minutes.
The Saudi Arabian e-Visa program was recently expanded to include South Africa, making it the first African country on the list. This move is seen as a boost to tourism between the two countries.
