The Isle of Man government has ended the temporary visa program that allowed seasonal workers to come to the island and work in the hospitality industry. The program was started in 2022 to help businesses find workers after there were not enough people available to work in restaurants and bars.
The government is now going to look at whether the program was needed and if it worked well. Applications that were made before the program ended will still be processed, and people who are already in the Isle of Man on a seasonal worker visa will be able to stay until their visa expires. However, they will not be able to extend their visa.
The government is now encouraging people who were thinking about applying for a seasonal worker visa to look into other visa options, such as the Migrant Workers visa.
