In Fatehabad district, two young individuals were scammed, losing Rs 24 lakh to three fraudsters who promised UK and Portugal visas. The police filed a fraud case against Sachin, Sushil, and Harry.
Guru Nanakpura resident Parvinder Singh and his cousin Arvind Kumar met Sachin during IELTS coaching in 2022. Sachin introduced them to Sushil, assuring visas for the UK and Portugal. Hoping for a Portugal work visa for Parvinder and a UK study visa for Sachin, the duo handed over Rs 24 lakh. However, the promised visas never arrived, and they received bad cheques. When the cousins sought a refund, they allegedly faced threats, according to the complaint.
