Big news! The US tested “paperless visas” in Dublin, so soon you might use a cool app instead of passport stamps. No more stamp mess! This digital switch keeps your visa info safe online. Julie Stufft, a US visa official, says: “We started in Dublin and plan to use it for more visas worldwide. In about 18 months, check your US visa with a quick appโ€”no more paperwork!”

And it’s not just the USโ€”places like Cambodia, Kenya, and Australia use e-visas, making travel easier. The US way is a bit different from India’s e-visa. While India lets you renew online, the US still follows the usual process until the end. Stufft explains: “It’s not like India’s e-visa. Same steps until we go paperless.”

With over 140,000 Indian students getting US visas last year, the US wants to speed up visa appointments. Going paperless not only makes things faster but also hints at a cool future where your passport becomes a digital key to super-smooth travel.
