Saudia's New Stopover Visa Program for Saudi Arabia

Saudia, the national airline of Saudi Arabia, now offers a temporary stopover visa for travelers with layovers in the country. This visa is valid for tourism, business, or religious purposes and allows stays of up to 96 hours. It’s a collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Visitors can use this opportunity to explore Saudi Arabia’s cultural heritage, visit holy sites like the Prophet’s Mosque, or see UNESCO World Heritage sites like AlUla and Jeddah’s historic center.

Getting the visa is straightforward: travelers can request it while booking their flight. It’s valid for up to 90 days and is for travelers who don’t have other valid entry documents. During booking, they need to fill out a form and send photos via email to receive the visa, which they must print before arrival.

This program is part of Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 tourism plan, aiming to attract 150 million visitors annually by 2030.
