Saudi Arabia has recently made it more convenient for Turkish citizens to make pilgrimages to the holy cities of Mecca and Medina. The Saudi Arabian e-visa program now permits Turkish citizens to undertake the Umrah pilgrimage, visit sacred sites, and explore other tourist attractions within the country.
To facilitate travel, Saudi Arabia has increased the number of flights between Türkiye and Saudi Arabia. This includes the introduction of direct flights from Ankara to Medina and from Gaziantep to Medina. Additionally, Saudi Arabia’s national carrier, Saudia, has announced plans to add 100 more flights to Jeddah and Medina during the Umrah season.
Furthermore, Saudi Arabia is collaborating with Turkish authorities to enhance the overall experience and services for Turkish visitors, ensuring a smoother and more efficient pilgrimage journey.
