Saudi Arabia is looking to tap into the increasing interest from Indian travelers by aiming to surpass its success of hosting 1.5 million Indian tourists in 2023. Setting an ambitious target for 2030, the kingdom aims to attract a substantial 7.5 million Indian visitors by the end of the decade.

During the esteemed South Asia Travel and Tourism Exchange (SATTE) 2024 Travel Show, Alhasan Aldabbagh, the President of the Asia Pacific region at the Saudi Tourism Authority, shared this ambitious goal. Acknowledging the rising demand for travel from India, both for religious and leisure purposes, Saudi Arabia has revealed a strategic move to attract more visitors. As part of this initiative, the kingdom has introduced a stopover program, providing complimentary 96-hour visas for travelers who opt for Saudi Airlines or Flyanas, a budget-friendly private Saudi airline.

The SATTE platform plays a crucial role as a stage for stakeholders in the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. It brings together domestic and international buyers alongside representatives from National and State Tourism Boards.
