Saudi Arabia has launched a special visa program called “Study in Saudi Arabia” for global students eager to pursue education in the country. The initiative, officially announced by the Ministry of Education (MoE) and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) during the Human Capacity Initiative conference in Riyadh on February 29, aims to simplify the visa application process for those interested in studying at Saudi universities.
The “Study in Saudi Arabia” platform is designed to meet the needs of students and streamline their application procedures. It provides a variety of educational opportunities, ranging from short courses to comprehensive academic programs, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s commitment to collaboration in academia and culture, as outlined in Saudi Vision 2030. This initiative also supports the country’s goal of attracting skilled individuals and enhancing the education sector.
Saudi Arabia has become the fifth most popular destination for Indian students, thanks to factors such as attractive scholarship offers and financial aid for international students. According to data from the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), over 1.3 million Indian students pursued higher education abroad between 2017 and 2022.
