Russia Proposes Visa-Free Travel for Group Tourists from India

Russia has proposed a visa-free system for group tourists from India. This means that Indian tourists who travel in organized groups will no longer need to apply for a visa to enter Russia. The proposal is currently under discussion between the two countries.

The move is part of Russia’s efforts to boost tourism. The tourism industry in Russia has been struggling in recent years due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.

Russia has already implemented a similar visa-free system with China and Iran. Under this system, groups of five or more people who share the same travel itinerary can travel to Russia without a visa.

In addition to the visa-free system for group tourists, Russia has also introduced a program that allows citizens from 55 countries to apply for electronic visas online. These electronic visas are valid for 60 days and allow a maximum stay of 16 days in Russia.

The electronic visa program is designed to make it easier and faster for tourists to visit Russia. It is also expected to help boost tourism in the country.

The proposal for a visa-free system for group tourists from India is a positive development. It will make it easier and more affordable for Indian tourists to visit Russia. This is likely to boost tourism in both countries.
