Russia is actively negotiating visa exemptions with six Latin American countries, aimed at facilitating easier travel for Russian citizens. If successful, these talks would enable Russian nationals to visit these countries without the need for a visa. Russia already enjoys visa-free arrangements with a significant portion of South and Central America. The new agreements under discussion would extend this privilege to include the Bahamas, Barbados, Haiti, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and St. Lucia.

The Russian government anticipates that these visa-free agreements would have a positive impact on tourism and trade relations between Russia and the Latin American countries involved, further enhancing cultural and economic ties.
