A recent case in Chandigarh, India, involves a woman from Ludhiana who was tricked by the head of an immigration firm. The managing director of the firm, located in Sector-34, Chandigarh, allegedly took more than Rs 20 lakh from her by promising to get her a work visa for Canada.

The woman had sought help from the Blue Pearl Immigration Consultants’ MD, Gurpreet Singh Randhawa, in 2019, hoping to secure a better job or move to Canada.

Following the woman’s complaint, the authorities have started investigating the case. Such scams in the immigration field are unfortunately not uncommon and often target people looking for better opportunities. This highlights the importance of thoroughly checking the credibility of immigration services before making any deals to avoid falling for such deceitful schemes.
