This surge in outbound travel from India is underscored by the US Consulate General in Mumbai, which established its own record by processing over 400,000 visas this year.
In an official statement, the Mumbai consulate highlighted its proactive approach in overcoming visa processing challenges. To manage the growing demand and reduce wait times, the consulate implemented a special “Super Saturday” dedicated to visitor visa interviews, engaging in discussions with over 2,000 applicants.
