Indonesia is thinking about letting people from 20 countries visit without a visa, including the U.S., China, and India. They want to boost tourism and their economy. The government is working on the list of countries. This idea comes from the president, who wants to help the country grow, attract investments, and have more tourists.

Before the pandemic, Indonesia had over 16 million visitors in 2019, and now, from January to October 2023, they’ve had 9.49 million international touristsโ€”a huge 124.3% increase from 2022.

Other countries in Southeast Asia are doing similar things. Singapore is making it easier for people from China to visit without a visa, and Thailand and Malaysia already let Chinese and Indian visitors come without a visa. It looks like a trend to make travel simpler in the region!”
