Online Permanent Resident Visas: Immigration New Zealand now allows online applications for permanent resident visas, eliminating the need for physical documents. This change aims to streamline the process, enabling applicants to track their status online. Some exceptions may allow paper-based applications for specific visa types.
Working Holiday Visa Updates: For the 2024 Working Holiday Schemes, New Zealand has set opening dates and caps for each country. Applications will be accepted until the quota is met, leading to a temporary closure until the next year. Any remaining slots from the previous year will continue until exhausted, resetting on the 2024 opening date. Discussions are ongoing to potentially raise Vietnam’s WHS cap from 100 to 200, with the opening date pending confirmation.
