New USCIS Rules Follow or Risk H-1B Visa Rejection

The US has finished the first stage of H-1B visa registration for Fiscal Year 2025 on March 25, 2024, after extending it by three days.

USCIS will soon pick enough beneficiaries randomly from the registrations to fill the FY 2025 H-1B cap, including the master’s cap. They will inform selected applicants to file an H-1B cap-subject petition.

From April 1, 2024, USCIS has changed where to send H-1B and H-1B1 (HSC) Form I-129 petitions. Paper-based submissions must now go to USCIS lockbox locations, not service centers, including cap, non-cap, and cap-exempt H-1B filings. Check the Form I-129 Direct Filing Addresses page for the correct mailing addresses.

USCIS will reject H-1B or H-1B1 (HSC) petitions sent to a USCIS service center on or after April 1, 2024, with no grace period.
