Immigration New Zealand has uncovered an additional 29 victims ensnared in a migrant work visa scam, further exposing the exploitation of individuals who were promised employment opportunities in New Zealand but found themselves jobless and residing in overcrowded and unsanitary living conditions. The investigation into this troubling situation remains active, with Immigration New Zealand collaborating closely with the Indian and Bangladeshi High Commissions to extend support to these victims.

Of the 135 individuals who had their visas revoked as a result of this investigation, they will be required to leave New Zealand. Meanwhile, the cases of those who are still in the country are under continued review as authorities strive to address the repercussions of this fraudulent scheme.
