The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has stated that it doesn’t give licenses to visa counseling agents in Haryana or anywhere else in India. This clarification comes in response to concerns about the increasing number of fraud cases involving visa consultants due to a growing interest in going abroad. The MEA emphasized that issuing licenses for visa processing is the prerogative of foreign governments.

An educationist named Arvind Kumar Kadian in Karnal raised concerns about the lack of clarity in immigration policies at state and national levels. He suggested that only individuals with licenses from foreign governments should be allowed to operate as immigration consultants, and stressed the need for clear policies and registration criteria. Despite the state government’s commitment to tackling immigration fraud, Kadian noted a lack of visible progress on the ground.
