Visa A 30-year-old man from Punjab was deported from Serbia after he was found to be traveling on a fake visa.

The man, identified as Gurwinder Singh, had gone to Dubai as a tourist and had come into contact with an agent who had promised to facilitate his journey to Europe for a payment of Rs 6 lakh. The agent had arranged a Serbian visa on Singh’s passport.

On November 24, Singh attempted to travel to Serbia via Doha using Qatar Airlines. However, Serbian immigration officers identified the fake visa and deported him back to India.

The Mumbai airport authority has filed a case against Singh under sections 420 (cheating), 465 (forgery), 468 (forgery for the purpose of cheating), and 471 (using a genuine forged document) of the Indian Penal Code.

This story highlights the importance of being careful when obtaining visas. It is important to only use authorized agents and to verify the authenticity of any visa before using it.
