Macao is thinking about making visa rules simpler for Vietnamese citizens, says Vietnam Net.
Chief Executive Ho Iat Seng is open to welcoming more Vietnamese tourists, workers, and businesspeople. He and Vietnamese consul general Pham Binh Dam discussed improving tourism and making it easier for Vietnamese workers to come to Macao.
Vietnamese citizens are the second-largest foreign group in Macao, with about 7,800 Vietnamese workers there.
Ho praised Vietnamese workers for their skills and hard work, and he also mentioned Vietnam’s recovery from the pandemic and growing economy, which has attracted interest from Macao’s business community and investors.
