In 2023, Kazakhstan’s passports got more powerful, letting people visit 82 countries without a visa. Aibek Smadiyarov, the spokesperson for Kazakhstan’s Foreign Ministry, shared this news on December 25, saying that the expanded list now includes 29 countries for regular passports.
In 2023, Kazakhstan also made deals with Bangladesh, Seychelles, and San Marino. These agreements cover various passport types. Additionally, Kazakh passport holders can now travel to China and Vietnam without a visa. The visa-free deal with China started on November 10, and the one with Vietnam is still in progress.
A big move is the collaboration between Kazakhstan and the European Union to make it easier for Kazakh citizens to get Schengen visas.
