Japan is introducing a Digital Nomad Visa, allowing longer stays for visitors from 49 countries, including the United States. Unlike the usual 90-day tourist visa, this new visa lets people stay in Japan for up to six months.
To be eligible, foreign remote workers need an annual income of over 10 million yen (about $68,200), targeting those with stable and higher incomes. Japan aims to attract skilled professionals in the digital and remote work field, contributing to its workforce and economy.
