Italy Now Accepting Applications for Non-EU Farm Workers

Italy has started taking applications from non-EU citizens who want to work in agriculture. On March 25, the Forli headquarters in the Romagna region got 250 requests in seconds, called the “click day.

The country is set to welcome 89,050 workers with visas lasting six or nine months, double the time allowed last year. Applications should get a response in 30 days, making the process faster, according to SchengenVisaInfo.

However, local farms still need more workers despite longer visas. To handle the applications smoothly, Forli headquarters has a team of 15 employees and an IT technician in place.
