Ireland Requires Visas for Dominica, Honduras, and Vanuatu Citizens

Starting March 7, 2024, citizens of Dominica, Honduras, and Vanuatu must obtain a visa for entry to Ireland. Those transiting through Irish airports to another destination also need a transit visa.

Helen McEntee, Ireland’s Minister for Justice, stated this aligns with the UK and the Schengen Area. Regular reviews ensure effective immigration control.

Transitional arrangements will be made for nationals of Dominica, Honduras, and Vanuatu with existing travel plans.

Notably, this change is expected to affect a small number, as Ireland doesn’t see many arrivals from these countries, and no significant increase in visa applications is anticipated.
