Good news for Indian tourists! Iran now allows visa-free entry for tourism if you arrive by air, allowing a 15-day stay. This started on February 4, with just four conditions to know, shared by the Iranian embassy.

Following a similar program approval in December, India and 32 other countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, and Malaysia, are included.

If you have an ordinary passport, you can enter Iran without a visa once every six months, for up to 15 days, exclusively for tourism. Remember, this 15-day stay can’t be extended.

This visa-free entry is only for those arriving by air. For longer stays or other visas, you’ll need to get them from Iranian missions in India. Recently, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar visited Iran to discuss various issues. This new visa-waiver program aims to simplify travel for Indian tourists and strengthen ties between Iran and India, considering these straightforward conditions.
