Iran has scrapped visa requirements for Indian citizens and citizens from 32 more countries. This move expands the list of nations offering visa-free travel for Indians.

The decision, announced after a cabinet meeting, aims to boost tourism by attracting visitors globally, according to Ezzatollah Zarghami, the Iranian Minister of Cultural Heritage, Tourism, and Handicrafts. Zarghami highlighted that this step demonstrates Iran’s commitment to global engagement and aims to counter negative perceptions and rumors, including the ‘Iranophobia’ perpetuated by the global arrogance system.

The 32 countries now enjoying visa-free travel to Iran include Russia, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Lebanon, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritania, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia, Darussalam, Japan, Singapore, Cambodia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Brazil, Peru, Cuba, Mexico, Venezuela, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Croatia, and Belarus.
