Canada’s Defence Minister has underlined India’s importance as a crucial partner. He highlighted the need to investigate thoroughly amid the complexities of the relationship. Bill Blair, speaking to Global News, said, “We understand that our relationship with India faces challenges, but we’re responsible for a comprehensive inquiry.”
This comes after a US diplomat in Canada revealed “shared intelligence among Five Eyes partners.” This intelligence relates to Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s recent accusations against India regarding the killing of Khalistani extremist Hardeep Singh Nijjar on Canadian soil.
A senior Indian security official has stated that Canada hasn’t shared solid proof through diplomatic or intelligence channels linking India to the assassination of Hardeep Singh Nijjar.
