HDFC Bank and TD Bank Make Canadian Study Visas Easy for Indian Students

Indian students going to Canada for studies can now find it easier. HDFC Bank and TD Bank Group have joined forces to simplify the visa process. This partnership will help students meet the requirement of a guaranteed investment certificate (GIC), which is important for studying in Canada.

The collaboration between HDFC Bank and TD Bank will support Indian students through the Canadian visa process. Canada is a top choice for Indian students studying abroad, and this agreement will make it simpler for them to meet visa requirements.

As part of the study permit application, students usually need to show financial support, often through a guaranteed investment certificate (GIC). This partnership will help Indian students get the necessary GIC. This partnership aims to make the process easier for students by offering financial solutions and support.

Under this arrangement, HDFC Bank will guide Indian students interested in studying in Canada to TD’s International Student Guaranteed Investment Certificate (GIC) Program, as per a TD Bank press release.

This initiative is designed to help students meet the financial criteria set by the Canadian government’s Student Direct Stream (SDS) study permit pathway. The referral program builds on the existing relationship between the banks, with TD serving as HDFC Bank’s main correspondent banking partner for Canadian Dollar clearing since 2015.

For Indian students applying for a study permit, showing proof of financial support, usually through a GIC from a participating Canadian financial institution, is essential.
