Starting April, the fees for H-1B visa registration and petition filing (Form I-129) are increasing, as announced by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). This change will affect various immigration processes, including popular visas like H-1B, L-1, and EB-5, often used by Indians. The new fees come into effect on April 1, 2024.
The current $10 fee for H-1B registration will jump to $215, a big 2,050% increase.
Additionally, the petition filing fee for Form I-129 H-1B, currently $460, will go up to $780, a 70% increase.
Keep in mind, there’s no extra time to submit the updated Form I-129 – it must be done with the new fees from the start.
