Greece is increasing the minimum investment for the Golden Visa Program to attract more significant investments. This change will also reduce the number of visas granted.

Economy and Finance Minister Kostis Hadjidakis confirmed the adjustments, aiming to channel funds into specific real estate needs, especially for listed buildings.

The government’s goal is to balance the real estate sector, increase rental property availability, respect property owners’ rights, and support construction.

The Golden Visa Program won’t be abolished, ensuring investor focus on Greek properties, said Economy and Finance Ministry spokesperson Omiros Tsapalos. Since 2013, around โ‚ฌ5.54 million has been invested through the Golden Visa scheme in Greece.
