Starting from February 16, citizens of Uzbekistan are allowed to visit the United Arab Emirates for up to 30 days without requiring a visa. This arrangement was formalized through an agreement signed by Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to the UAE, Abdulaziz Akkulov, and the UAE’s Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Khalid Abdullah Belhoul. This development increases the number of countries that Uzbek citizens can visit without a visa to 29 and elevates Uzbekistan to the 71st position in the Global Passport Power rankings.
In the year 2023, a total of 119,500 citizens from Uzbekistan traveled to the UAE. These visitors collectively spent $9.2 million on obtaining visas for their stay in the UAE.
