Chancellor Olaf Scholz and Minister of Interior Nancy Faeser both agree that Germany needs to update its immigration law to welcome more skilled workers. With the new rules, foreigners with a degree can apply for certain jobs, and those with two years of experience in a field can also come to work. Professional qualifications won’t need to be approved, making the process faster.
