The German ambassador to Kuwait, Hans-Christian Freiherr von Reibnitz, announced that Germany has started issuing 5-year Schengen visas to Kuwaiti citizens. This means that Kuwaiti citizens can now travel to Germany and other European countries for up to 5 years without having to reapply for a visa.
The ambassador said that Germany values Kuwait as a close partner and is committed to strengthening the relationship between the two countries. He highlighted Kuwait’s status as a major investor in Germany and the growing number of Kuwaiti citizens who are choosing to live in Germany.
The ambassador also said that Germany is looking forward to celebrating the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Germany and Kuwait next year. He said that there will be many events to mark this occasion, including concerts, workshops, and discussions.
The ambassador concluded by saying that Germany is committed to working with Kuwait to build a more robust strategic partnership for the future. He said that both countries share a commitment to rational policy-making, humanitarian commitment, and principled approaches to peace, security, and addressing international challenges.
