Starting in 2024, Filipinos will have the opportunity to apply for the Australian Work and Holiday Visa (subclass 462), following an announcement by the Australian government.
This visa program is a result of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) signed during Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s visit to the Philippines, signifying enhanced bilateral cooperation.
Under this visa category, eligible individuals aged 18 to 31 can travel to Australia for a maximum duration of 12 months, during which they can work for up to 6 months, engage in up to 4 months of study, and participate in specified subclass 462 work that qualifies them for a second work and holiday visa, marking an exciting opportunity for Filipinos to explore Australia.
